As every one expected Microsoft has released the third public beta of its Windows Live Writer blogging application. This free application is available as a standalone download or as part of the new Windows Live unified installer.
The new release of Windows Live Writer is more fast and responsive than the previous versions. Here's a quick recap of some other very useful features added in WLW v2008:
- Insert videos using "insert video" dialog
- Upload images to Picasaweb when publishing to Blogger blogs
- Better image handling
- A slew of bug fixes
Overall, it's a pretty handy blogging tool.The interesting feature is that you can include local photos in your blog posts and Windows Live Writer will automatically upload them to your Google Picasa web account.
This new version has inbuilt support for embedding YouTube videos directly in to your blog without any need of downloading and then embedding web videos in your blog posts.Thanks for this great inbuilt feature- just type the video URL and WLW will automatically generate the embed code.
