Disappointments of New iPhone 3G

Apple yesterday unveiled a new iPhone that is slim, sexy and cheaper. The new iPhone has many new features like 3G support, GPS, third party applications, etc[read more]

As most of the Apple Fan boys are celebrating the new iPhone, there are few fans who are very much disappointed. Here are the shortcomings of iPhone 3G

No MMS: Still there is no support for Multimedia Messaging Service through which users can easily send/receive photos and other media files. The only way to send and receive media files in iPhone is through e-mails which is not as simple as MMS.

Poor Camera: The 2 megapixel camera introduced in the first version of iPhone is left unchanged. Most of the other smart phones have at least 3 megapixels.

No Video Call Support – The much hoped front-facing camera for video calls is not available in the new release.

Missing Cut, Copy & Paste – Every smart phone’s must to have features are basic cut, copy & paste. Apple failed to add these features to the new phone.

Adobe Flash – The Safari web browser used in the iPhone does not have Adobe Flash support. So none of the flash enabled web sites can be viewed on iPhone

Miscellaneous – The other disappointments include no Video Recording Support, lack of landscape oriented keyboard, week Bluetooth support.

Amazing List Of Windows Mobile Products For This Holiday Season

Despite Apple iPhone controls the smartphone market, most of the people still love the choice and variety of the Windows Mobile lineup, and the versatility these devices have that Apple has chosen not include with their phone.

It seems the best lineup is either at T-Mobile (which has only three phones, but great versions of the slide-out keyboard PDA, consumer smartphone, and business Q-type) or Sprint (which has a free slide-out PDA, great Q, and the only one with the Touch).

AT&T’s lineup is too quirky, filled with Q-types, plus the dual slider, but they do have a cheap Palm. Verizon’s lineup is pathetic and too expensive.

Freedom to Your iPhone/iPod With a Single Click - Powered By JailBreakMe.Com

JailBreakMe.Com is a great web site for all iPhone and iPod lovers who want to install third party applications on their iPhones/iPods. With the help of this site, it is a matter of single click to release all the locks and security restrictions implemented by Apple on iPhone/iPods to disallow third party applications.

Point your safari browser to http://jailbreakme.com and click on Install AppSnapp. It automatically downloads and installs a tiny application called Installer by exploiting the security holes in Safari browser.

Jail breaking Apple iPhone and iPod

After installing the application restart your phone once and you will find a new icon Installer on your phone. Now your phone is ready to install all the beautiful applications available on net.

Another interesting news is, Jail breaking not only allows you to install applications on your iPhone but also fixes a bug in Safari browser and makes the phone more secured. [Tuaw]
