Adobe CS3 Design Premium Installation Problem(Internal Error 2739) and Solution

When I tried installing Adobe Creative Suite 3 Design Premium Software which contains my favorite applications Photoshop and Dreamweaver, the following error message is popped up.

---------------------------
Setup Error
---------------------------
Setup has encountered an error and cannot continue. Contact Adobe Customer Support for assistance.

Internal Error 2739.
---------------------------
OK
---------------------------

The solution to the problem is quite simple. Register the DLL  jscript.dll and re-launch the setup to smoothly install Adobe CS3 Design Premium. Follow these steps to register the DLL jscript.dll.

  1. Launch Command Prompt Application( Start --> Run --> cmd [press Enter])
  2. Type the command regsvr32 jscript.dll ( make sure that there is a space between regsrv32 and  jscript.dll)
  3. Press enter to execute the typed command.

After registering jscript.dll, I re-launched the setup application which successfully installed Adobe CS3 Suite.

I had adobe working fine until the most recent update. Now, I get the following error after attempting to delete and reinstall CS3 (XP):

Setup has encountered an error and cannot continue. Contact Adobe Customer Support for assistance. The installation is forbidden by system policy. Contact your system administrator.

Any help would be greatly appreciated..thanks.

I am using Windows Vista Business. I am also facing internal error 2739.

I followed the above mentioned instructions to Register the DLL jscript.dll but after Pressing enter to execute the typed command in DOS cmd mode an error "RegSvr32" displayed containing following text.

"The module "jscript.dll" was loaded but the call to DllRegisterServer failed with error code 0x80004005.

For more information about this problem, search online using the error code as a search term."

What should I do...?

I had the same problem. You need to run cmd.exe with administrative rights. Click with right mouse button to the 'cmd' icon and select 'run as administrator' or something like this.
I reregister jscript.dll and vbscript.dll in that way, but the installer of Adobe CS3 doesn't want to run either. It is exit after the initialization. What colud be the problem? Any help would be respected. :)

I receive the following message when opening any CS3 Design Premium program except Bridge or Acrobat: You cannot use the product at this time. You must repair the problem by uninstalling and then reinstalling this product or contacting your IT administrator or Adobe customer support for help. (Bridge and Acrobat will open, but won't do anything.

There are a few fixes mentioned on Adobe (I'm running on a MacBook Pro with Leopard 10.5.2. The first is to work with a Flex... folder. I don't have it. I downloaded a CS3 Clean Sweep program, ran it, and tried to reinstall. That didn't work either. Any suggestions are appreciated.

Hi, I got the "Setup has encountered an error and cannot continue. Contact Adobe Customer Support for assistance." error but I have a Mac. Is there a command to use with Terminal that will work the same as regsvr31 jscript.dll?

Here is an URL that will walk you through this problem. Even if you get an error message, jscript.dll loads.
