Google announced the www.google.cat, the Google search web site for Catalan Linguistic and Cultural Community.
The .cat domain description says
The .cat TLD (Top Level Domain) is established to serve the needs of the Catalan Linguistic and Cultural Community on the Internet.
The Community consists of those who use the Catalan language for their online communications, and/or promote the different aspects of Catalan culture online, and/or want to specifically address their online communications to that Community.
This is one of the freaky and funny domain name owned by Google. It's also noticed that www.lol.cat, www.googlecat.com are also owned by Google and they are all redirecting to Google's catala web site
