YouTube is now in India!

Check out the new Youtube Indian edition, at www.youtube.co.in with entirely local experience and featuring the content most desired by the Indian users.

Youtube debuts in India with dozens of local partners, including Zoom channel, UTV and Rajshri Group, among other production houses.

"We are very excited to bring a local version of YouTube to India considering the passion of users here for music and entertainment," said YouTube's chief technology officer and co-founder Steve Chen.

India stands in the 15 position for the video sharing website with 5 million unique Indian users.

"India is the 20th country for YouTube to go local, and from now on all searches on the Indian portal would be specific to India," YouTube International Manager Sakina Arsiwala said.

Hi,
I have compiled a list of more than 500 of YouTube-like sites with their niches, and the list is still growing.
If you're interested in Indian video sharing sites, check for instance http://www.ilikesharingvideos.com/video-sharing-sites/en/niche/country-india/
And if you're more broadly interested in video sharing, be it how to make you own YouTube clone or how to get money from your videos, you should give it an eye to that resource site.
Cheers
