Philipp Lenssen of BlogScoped written a funny post on how GMail looks like if Microsoft Corporation is the designer. The comparison of existing GMail user interface with factious Microsoft's GMail show the common design problems of Microsoft which include
- Bright Colors and Flashy User Interface
- Irrelevant big image ads occupying most of the viewable area
- Cluttered content all over the page which does not really make any sense to the user
- And finally "Loading..." progress bars on the screen which adds up to user frustration
