Ian Simpson, a Vodafone user was slapped with a bill of £27,322 for connecting his mobile to a laptop and downloading TV shows.
He discovered that the access speeds on his Vodafone mobile were faster than his ISP, so he connected it to this laptop and proceeded to download all his favourite video shows and albums.
For a month usage of his Mobile, he was asked to pay £27,322 which he is no way capable of paying. He never expected this as he thought it was unlimited data access, which is actually limited to 120 MB per month.
Vodafone is considering to go easy on the guy but they clearly want to send a message "never use a mobile as a modem."
